Duomo Padua Italy

The main reason for the construction of the Duomo of Padua in Italy is to show respect to the assumption of the Virgin Mary. The building is the third to have been built at the same site because the first one fell apart because of an earthquake; Architects rebuilt the second building from the old church (the one that was destroyed in the earthquake). And the last one was designed by Michelangelo; it was completed in 1754.

The Baptistry of Padua is one of the most incredible touristic sites you can visit in Padua; there is a collection of frescoes that represent the end of the world, and in the middle of these frescoes, the spectacular “blessing of Christ”. We recommend you visit the Duomo of Padua, and you will not regret the time spent there.
